There's something about sweets and baked goods that is comforting and has the ability to make people happy. I have always had a passion for cooking and especially baking. Interestingly enough, growing up in a Japanese household, our typical meals would not end with anything sweet at all. Perhaps it was the unknown that I found so intriguing.
After graduating from Santa Clara University, I worked in Silicon Valley for Dun & Bradstreet then Hitachi Corporation, while taking classes at San Francisco Culinary Academy. Upon moving to Minnesota, I decided to pursue a career in baking and was able to continue my baking adventure with Great Harvest Bread Company in Minneapolis and moved on to work as Pastry Chef at Cafe Latte in St. Paul.
These days everyone is very health conscious and concerned about what they eat. Even more reason to make every bite count and not settle for mediocrity. My motto is everything in moderation. Whether you are celebrating an event, having a dinner party or office gathering, I'd love to help you choose something perfect. My goal is to make products as close to time of consumption as possible, so no need for interesting additives for added shelf life. I use basic, fresh, organic and local (as much as possible) ingredients. Simple as that. I am fortunate I get to spend my days doing what I enjoy - baking desserts and sweets for others to enjoy. I would welcome the opportunity to work with you and your next sweet craving (or event)!
